TITLE:  Events Coordinator

JOB DESCRIPTION: The incumbent will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and will coordinate all events taking place at the Cafesjian Museum Foundation including music programs, public events and rentals.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:    

 

-          Coordinate all programs that take place periodically at the Cafesjian Center for the Arts (CCA);

-          Develop short and long-term plans and budgets for the public programs and related activities;

-          Develop and coordinate CCA’s music programs;

-          Negotiate with musicians for programming the concerts at the CCA;

-          Prepare relevant documentation for the concerts;

-          Work closely with the Visitor Center to effectively communicate all events taking place at the CCA;

-          Work closely with other departments to coordinate and plan events; determine event needs in terms of staffing, security, equipment and other logistical issues;

-          Manage rentals, including responding to all inquiries, conducting site visits and pre-event walk through, preparing contracts and other relevant documentation;

-          Coordinate with the Special Events Auditorium Manager all rentals and events taking place at the Center;

-          Be present at each special event to oversee operation;

-          Organize several events at a time and all paperwork associated with each event;

-          Write reports in English related to Events and Concerts;

-          Develop and maintain professional contacts with mass media
representatives;

-          Prepare and disseminate press releases and public announcements to
ensure public awareness of the Cafesjian Museum Foundation’s activities
and events;

-          Prepare and make regular updates for the web site, Facebook and other online sources;

-          Provide verbal/written translation of news, stories and other
documents as necessary;

-          Perform other duties as assigned by the Acting Executive Director, pertinent to the position.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

- Higher education and at least 2 years of work experience in promotion, event planning, facilities rental and event coordination, PR or in similar position;
- Familiarity with at least local bands and musicians; unbiased and professional approach in scheduling of concerts;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Knowledge of marketing and promotional methods and procedures;
- Willingness to work flexible schedule that includes weekends, holidays and special event days;
- Excellent knowledge of Armenian, English and Russian languages;
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under pressure efficiently and harmoniously in a team environment, as well as individually, within strict deadlines;

- Computer literacy in Microsoft Word and Excel.

REMUNERATION/ SALARY:  Competitive and commensurate with experience.
