The Encounters with Art Series Event was Dedicated to the Anniversary of Tigran Mansurian

On September 25, 2014 the following event in the scope of Encounters with Art series took place at the Cafesjian Center for the Arts. The event was dedicated to the 75th birthday anniversary of the renowned Armenian composer, Maestro Tigran Mansurian.
In the scope of the evening Maestro Mansurian and musicologist Mher Navoyan exchanged their thoughts on the topic of the event: Armenian Song – Armenian Canzone, presenting the history of Armenian song from the oldest till modern times. Thereafter, soloists Anna Mailyan and Anahit Papayan performed medieval sacred and secular songs, as well as works composed by Komitas, Romanos Melikian, Haro Stepanian and Tigran Mansurian. 

The evening concluded at the CCA’s Star Landing with a reception of wine testing sponsored by the partner of the Center – Armenia Wine Company.

Admission and Hours

Cafesjian Sculpture Garden: always open.
Escalator Gallery: everyday, 8:00-20:00.
Exhibition Galleries, Museum Store and Visitor Center: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 10:00-20:00.
The Center is closed on state holidays.

From April 1 until October 31, CCA Museum Store, besides Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, will also be open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from 10:00am till 6:00pm.
