“CCA Educational Programs 2009-2018: Overview” exhibition opened in Sasuntsi Davit Garden Gallery of The Cafesjian Center of the Arts (CCA) on the International Museum Day on May 18. The exhibited overview materials and the works by the participants represent the educational programs implemented during the 10-year operation period of CCA.

Since its early years of formation, the Cafesjian Center for the Arts (CCA) has highly valued the educational function of museums. Education has always been one of the cornerstones of CCA’s mission, rendering the Center an important hub for museum education. Within the scope of CCA’s permanent and temporary exhibitions, educational programs have been developed and implemented in different formats. Almost all local schools, as well as many regional schools of Armenia have taken part in those programs.

The exhibitions and projects undertaken by the Cafesjian Teen Council since 2017, have made the Center a beloved place for all teenagers.

During the period of its 10-year operation, CCA has implemented about 50 educational programs and initiatives with 1,100 sessions for different age groups, schools and families, as well as the art-loving public. More than 42,000 people have participated in CCA’s educational programs.

This exhibition features 13 of CCA’s educational programs, displaying the works created by the participants in different years.
