The Cafesjian Center for the Arts Celebrated Holy Vardanants Festival

On February 12, 2015 the Cafesjian Center for the Arts organized a special educational program in celebration of Holy Vardanants festival, as part of which the Center hosted 7th grade pupils from the secondary school after L. Tolstoy. The program was carried in Khanjyan Gallery, where participants got acquainted with the famous mural by Armenian renowned artist Grigor Khanjyan, and its three parts with the focus of the central composition featuring the battle of Vardanants. Afterwards, the children learnt about the origin and meaning of the state symbols of Armenia - the Flag and the Coats of Arms. At the end of the program they created bookmarks decorating them with three-color ribbon, state and national symbols.
