Barry Flanagan

Barry Flanagan (1941-2009) is a British sculptor, well-known for his dynamic, monumental bronze sculptures. In the late 1970s, Flanagan began making representational sculptures of hares, helmets and horses, using traditionally worked  materials such as cast bronze, gilt, and carved stone. Three noted works by Barry Flanagan are exhibited at the Cafesjian Center for the Arts as part of our permanent collection.
