Following Sasuntsi Davit

The Educational program Following Sasuntsi Davit is based on Sasuntsi Davit relief by Artashes Hovsepyan.

The program is designed for families and school children, ages 8 + (3rd grade).

In the first part of the program participants get familiarized with Artashes Hovsepyan’s  Sasuntsi Davit relief and Hakob Kojoyan’s artwork of the same name.

Transition is then made from fine art to literary creation, epic. Sasna Tsrer epic is descriptively presented to participants. Focus is made on the Sasuntsi Davit part.

The second part of the program continues in the same gallery. Before beginning the creative process, a small introduction about comics art will be presented to participants. Seated around tables, each participant chooses an extract from Sasuntsi Davit epic and reproduces it on paper in the comics style.

At the end of the program all participants collect their works and chronologically compile a new book. Each group leaves the center, taking a uniquely illustrated version of the epic.

Participation in the program is free, with prior reservation. For more information please call: +37410 541932/34.

The program was sponsored by Beeline Company from 2016 to 2017.
