"A Night at the Cinema in 1914" Movie Screening at CCA

February 23, 2015
On February 21, the Cafesjian Center for the Arts in collaboration with the British Council in Armenia presented the first event in the scope of Encounters with Art Series in 2015. The event featured screening of the last film in the frames of the 13th British Film Festival – A Night at the Cinema in 1914 dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First World War.

The film was presented by H.E. Mrs. Kathy Leach, Ambassador of UK to Armenia. In her speech Mrs. Leach highlighted the importance of the period presented in the film that changed the whole world. The movie is a special compilation from archive that recreates the glorious miscellany of comedies, dramas, travelogues and newsreels which would have constituted a typical night out in 1914.
