Armenian Poet and Musician Sayat-Nova Presented in CCA’s Encounters with Art SeriesDecember 06, 2012 On December 6, the Encounters with Art program of the Cafesjian Center for the Arts was dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the famous Armenian poet and musician Sayat-Nova.The evening was opened with True Stories and Invented Tales presentation by conductor and soloist Shahe Keshishyan. The event continued into a wonderful musical program with performances of Tsovinar Hovhannisyan, Astghik Adonts, Gohar Gasparyan, Shahe Keshishyan, Gurgen Baveyan, Margarit Sargsyan, Marianna Martirosyan and Zangakner Ensemble of Araratian Patriarchal Diocese. The Encounters with Art program was launched in October, 2010 as a a series of events, focusing on Armenian and international arts and artists. Admission and Hours
Cafesjian Sculpture Garden: always open. Escalator Gallery: everyday, 8:00-20:00. Exhibition Galleries, Museum Store and Visitor Center: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 10:00-20:00. The Center is closed on state holidays. From April 1 until October 31, CCA Museum Store, besides Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, will also be open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from 10:00am till 6:00pm. |
