CCA hosts more than 15.000 visitors on International Museum Day

The Cafesjian Center for the Arts (CCA) was open to art lovers from early morning till midnight on International Museum Day, May 18. The Center hosted more than 15.000 visitors, presenting a rich program of events.

A multitude of visitors of different age groups and nationalities had the chance to view both the permanent and temporary exhibitions. The History of Cascade, CCA Exhibitions 2009-2018: Interactive Overview, as well as the exhibitions reflecting an overview of the Center’s public and concert programs, are dedicated to the 10th anniversary of CCA. On the occasion of this significant event, two major educational projects were launched at the Center in 2019, DesignLab: Chairs program, the participants of which depicted their own designer chairs, and Create Your Journey educational recreational online platform, within the scope of which visitors experienced customized tours, at the same time performing interactive tasks. 

Thus, visitors of all ages had vivid impressions at the Center and were inspired by the spirit of contemporary art.

The CCA was recognized for "efficient operations and creative success." The CCA's Acting Executive Director Vahagn Marabyan received the honor on behalf of the Center.

  • Cafesjian Center for the Arts Announces the Closure of Ivana Šrámková's Exhibition
    The Cafesjian Center for the Arts (CCA) announces the closure of Ivana Šrámková: Geometric Forms and Images exhibition at Sasuntsi Davit Garden Gallery of the Center. The exhibition, opened in November 2010, for the first time in Armenia presented the works by Czech glass artist Ivana Šrámková from the Gerard L. Cafesjian Collection. The exhibition was also accompanied by a children’s program, Creativity and Imagination, administered in the exhibition gallery for children aged 6-12.

Admission and Hours

Gallery One, Museum Store, Khanjyan Gallery, Sasuntsi Davit Gallery and Swarovski Crystal Palace exhibition are always free of charge.

Cafesjian Sculpture Garden: Always open.
Escalator Gallery: Everyday, 8:00-20:00.
Exhibition Galleries, Museum Store and Visitor Center: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 10:00-20:00.
The Center is closed on state holidays.
