Cafesjian Center for the Arts hosts “ORBIS” Installation by Daniele Spanò

June 04, 2019
On June 4, the Cafesjian Center for the Arts (CCA) hosted a 3D mapping installation, authored by Italian visual artist Daniele Spanò. In this spectacular installation, devoted to the 73rd anniversary of Italian Republic, sound and light effects harmoniously intertwined with flamboyant moves and architectural peculiarities of the Cascade fountains. This unique project, called “ORBIS,” was organized by the Embassy of the Italian Republic in Armenia and implemented with the support of the Cafesjian Center for the Arts, National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after Al. Spendiaryan, and HD Studio.

Vincenzo del Monaco, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic to the Republic of Armenia, and Vahagn Marabyan, CCA Acting Executive Director, delivered an opening speech before the start of this open-air installation. Back in the preparatory stage, the project curator Isabella Indolfi had described the Cafesjian Center for the Arts as a symbol of the Armenian cultural renaissance and beating heart of contemporary art in Armenia. This multimedia installation, presented to the public under the rhythms of music by Franz Rosati, further enhanced the Center’s heartbeat, engaging the attendees in an absorbing experience.
The RA President Armen Sarkissian, former Deputy Minister of Culture Tigran Galstyan and several high-ranking officials were among the distinguished guests of the event.
