ENCOUNTERS WITH ART: Kochar: Challenging the Time

On October 15, at 18:30 the Cafesjian Center for the Arts hosted ENCOUNTERS WITH ART event, featuring the exhibition, Kochar: Challenging the Time, dedicated to the 115th Birthday Anniversary of the renowned Armenian artist Ervand Kochar.


In program: 

• Kochar: Challenging the Time exhibition viewing in Eagle Gallery at 6:30 pm.
• Ervand Kochar 1899-1979 (Part One: 1899-1936) documentary screening in the Special Events Auditorium at 7:00 pm.
• Kochar: Challenging the Time, presentation by Astghik Marabyan.
• “First Sin” Painting in Space (1927) documentary screening: text by Alexan Shahkhatuni.


Admission to the event was free, by prior reservations.

Over the ten years of its operation, the Center has transformed the traditional understanding of a museum, presenting a wide range of public, concert and educational programs, in addition to various exhibitions. The opening of the exhibitions highlighting the aforementioned programs took place at the Center on the occasion of the International Museum Day on May 18.
