Encounters with Art: “Benjamin Britten – 100”February 13, 2014 On February 13, at 19:00 at the Cafesjian Center for the Arts, THE ENCOUNTERS WITH ART series presents “Benjamin Britten – 100”.The Cafesjian Center for the Arts in partnership with the British Council presents an event, dedicated to the centenary of world renowned British composer Benjamin Britten. In program: • Benjamin Britten in Armenia: memories by the president of the Composers Union, composer Aram Satyan • “Zvartnots Renaissance” Fund's Soloist Group will present pieces by Britten • “A TIME THERE WAS…” screening of film by Tony Palmer 1973 (Language: English, Subtitles: Russian) The admission to the event is free, by prior reservations and invitations only. Cafesjian Sculpture Garden: always open. Escalator Gallery: everyday, 8:00-20:00. Exhibition Galleries, Museum Store and Visitor Center: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 10:00-20:00. The Center is closed on state holidays. From April 1 until October 31, CCA Museum Store, besides Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, will also be open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from 10:00am till 6:00pm. |
