Encounters with Art: Silva Kaputikyan: "Pages from a Closed Drawer"

On September 26, a lecture, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Silva Kaputikyan took place at the Cafesjian Center for the Arts (CCA) within the scope of “Encounters with Art” program. The lecture was delivered by Armenuhi Demirtchyan, Doctor of Philology; Head of Silva Kaputikyan House-Museum, and Seyranuhi Geghamyan, Writer-Publicist; Registrar of Silva Kaputikyan House-Museum.  

The speakers presented the known and unknown episodes of Kaputikyan’s life, giving the audience a new perception of the poetess’ unique persona. The audience enjoyed Silva Kaputikyan’s poems and excerpts from videos about her. The lecture also unveiled the activities Kaputikyan promoted in the Armenian Diaspora.  

The Portrait of Silva Kaputikyan by Haroutiun Galentz was displayed during the lecture.
