Mr. Gerard L. Cafesjian Recognized as the 2010 Maecenas of the Year

On March 24, 2011, Mr. Gerard L. Cafesjian was recognized as the 2010 Maecenas of the Year, according to the survey conducted by the Luxury Magazine. 

Mr. Vahagn Marabyan, the Acting Executive Director of the Cafesjian Museum Foundation received the Award on Mr. Cafesjian's behalf and delivered the following message to the audience:

"I am pleased and honored to accept the 2010 Maecenas of the Year award on behalf of Gerard L. Cafesjian.

I would also like to thank Luxury Magazine for its continuing interest in the culture and style of Armenia's re-emergence as a nation with its unique, vibrant identity. Mr. Cafesjian's vision of Armenia's future rests on his confidence in a vital and extraordinary people meeting the challenges of establishing a new democracy in an ancient land. 

The Cafesjian Center for the Arts is a beacon for those who accept the challenge to move their society forward. It is a unique place to share the art of the world's cultures and the culture of Armenia with the world.
