ORBIS MultiMedia Installation at the Cafesjian Center for the Arts

June 04, 2019
In the scope of the celebrations devoted to the 73rd anniversary of Italian Republic, the Embassy of the Italian Republic in Armenia presents the project “ORBIS,” implemented with the support of the Cafesjian Center for the Arts (CCA). At 9 PM on June 4, the Cafesjian Center for the Arts will host a 3D mapping installation, authored by Italian visual artist Daniele Spanò. In this spectacular installation, sound and light effects are harmoniously intertwined with flamboyant moves and architectural peculiarities of the Cascade fountains.

The project curator Isabella Indolfi describes the Cafesjian Center for the Arts as a symbol of the Armenian cultural renaissance and beating heart of contemporary art in Armenia. This multimedia installation strives to further enhance the Center’s heartbeat, overwhelming its visitors with an absorbing experience. At the Cafesjian Center for the Arts, masterpieces distinguished for Armenian traditional ornaments stand side by side with exceptional artworks of world contemporary art. This unique contrast is also reflected in Daniele Spano’s project, which will be presented to the public under the rhythms of music by Franz Rosati.

The Embassy of the Italian Republic in Armenia has cooperated with the Cafesjian Center for the Arts, National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after Al. Spendiaryan, and HD Studio LLC within the scope of the project.
