President of Lithuania visits the Cafesjian Center for the Arts

May 05, 2011
On May 5 the Cafesjian Center for the Arts was visited by the President of Lithuania, Dalia Grybauskaitė.

The President of Lithuania was given a tour of the CCA Galleries, observed the panorama of Yerevan and Mount Ararat from the outdoor Three Divers’ Terrace on the Cascade and signed the Center’s guestbook. “This is a wonderful monument for culture, for the Armenian people and for the future”, says President Grybauskaitė’s entry in the guestbook.

The President of Lithuania is currently paying a working visit to the South Caucasus countries, as the head of the OSCE chairing country. During the two-day visit in Armenia, Dalia Grybauskaitė’s agenda for cultural visits included the Cafesjian Center for the Arts.
The Cafesjian Center for the Arts is dedicated to bringing the best of contemporary art to Armenia and presenting the best of Armenian culture to the world. Inspired by the vision of its founder, Mr. Gerard L. Cafesjian, the Center offers a wide variety of exhibitions, derived from Mr. Cafesjian own extensive collection of contemporary art. Having celebrated its grand opening in November 2009, CCA continues to exhibit unique works of modern art and offers a diverse program of visiting lecturers, films, concerts, and numerous educational initiatives for adults and children.
