Time: 18:30 Venue: CCA's Special Events Auditorium May 18 "The Vanishing Modern Architectural Layer of Yerevan" The history of the formation of the 20th century architectural image of Yerevan presents contradictory aesthetics: from a wider perspective, it is a battleground for broader ideological visions. These architectural visions were derivatives of various social, political, economic and cultural contexts; at the same time were the main factors that generated these contexts. The lecture will try to analyze the contradictions between these visions and their ongoing influence on current architectural developments. The entrance is free.
