The “International Contemporary Art Exhibition: Armenia 2018” (ICAE2018) Opened at CCA

The Cafesjian Center for the Arts presents the exhibition, “Soundlines of Contemporary Art”, carried out in the scope of “International Contemporary Art Exhibition: Armenia 2018” (ICAE2018) dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the First Armenian Republic. 

From the 28th of September to the 25th of October, artworks by more than seventy international artists will be exhibited in seven important locations throughout Armenia’s capital, as well as at the Cafesjian Center for the Arts. The exhibition combines contemporary painting, sculpture, photography, video art and installation of iconic works on loan from the world’s top galleries and collections. 

The works by the following artists are exhibited at the Cafesjian Center for the Arts: 
Aboudia, Chant Avedissian, Sanford Biggers, Victor Ehikhamenor, Ararat Sarkissian, Sislej Xhafa.

Organized by “Shaula International” LLC, the event has the patronage of the Canadian Government, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia, the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities in Italy.

The public dates for the exhibition are September 30 to October 25, 2018. 
The admission will be free of charge.

    On December 26, 2011, during a ceremony hosted by Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, the Cafesjian Center for the Arts received a Certificate of Gratitude from the Yerevan Municipality. The CCA was recognized for "efficient operations and creative success." The CCA's Acting Executive Director Vahagn Marabyan received the honor on behalf of the Center.
