The Cafesjian Center for the Arts Announces the Closure of Yerevan Collectors’ Choice Exhibition

December 01, 2012
The Cafesjian Center for the Arts (CCA) announces the closure of its Yerevan Collectors’ Choice exhibition on December 16, 2012.
From December 1 to 16 the admission to the exhibition in the CCA Eagle Gallery will be free of charge.

Yerevan Collectors’ Choice exhibition features a selection of works from the private collections of art historian Poghos Haytayan, painter Robert Elibekian and architect Oshin Yeghiazariantz.
For the first time, this extraordinary selection of works celebrates the artists and their collectors, whose generosity in sharing their treasures with the public has made the exhibition possible.
This initiative of the Cafesjian Center for the Arts, to uncover Armenian private art collectors and to exhibit their collections, is unprecedented in Armenian reality. By assuming such a challenging project, the Cafesjian Center for the Arts is creating a unique cultural platform for private collectors to show their works in a museum setting and to once again establish the role of the private collector as a connoisseur and contributor in the preservation of our cultural heritage.
