The Cafesjian Center for the Arts Celebrates International Museum Day and Museum Night

On May 18, 2013 the Cafesjian Center for the Arts (CCA) will be celebrating the International Museum Day and Museum Night, by opening its galleries to public till midnight for free. 
CCA offers 40 % discount on ALL individual membership levels on May 14-19, 2013. 
The featured event for the Museum Night will be the opening of unique exhibitions. Dale Chihuly: Ikebana in Gallery One and POP Connection in Sasuntsi Davit Garden Gallery, presenting artworks from the Gerard L. Cafesjian Collection. During the Museum Night visitors will have another opportunity to see the exhibition Hagop Hagopian: Iron Narratives which will close on May 26.

Together with these exhibitions, CCA will also organize educational programs. 
• Imitating Glass 
Participants will create a chandelier using recyclable plastic bottles.
Time: 12:00 - 13:30

• PoPoster (based on the exhibition POP Connection) 
Participants will be involved in the creation of a POP art-related poster.
Time: 14:30 - 16:00

• Create Your Narrative (based on the exhibition Hagop Hagopian: Iron Narratives)
Participants will choose objects and create their own works using Hagop Hagopian’s approach.
Time: 17:00 -19:00

Movies about Dale Chihuly's art will be screened at the Special Events Auditorium.

    On December 26, 2011, during a ceremony hosted by Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, the Cafesjian Center for the Arts received a Certificate of Gratitude from the Yerevan Municipality.     The Cafesjian Center for the Arts (CCA) announces the closure of Ivana Šrámková: Geometric Forms and Images exhibition at Sasuntsi Davit Garden Gallery of the Center. The exhibition, opened in November 2010, for the first time in Armenia presented the works by Czech glass artist Ivana Šrámková from the Gerard L. Cafesjian Collection. The exhibition was also accompanied by a children’s program, Creativity and Imagination, administered in the exhibition gallery for children aged 6-12.
