The Miracle of New Year and Christmas

December 22, 2023
“The Miracle of New Year and Christmas” Children’s Creative Program will take place at the Interactive Study Center of the Cafesjian Center for the Arts (CCA) on December 22.

The theme of CCA’s 2023 New Year creative program is the Tree of Peace, which will be decorated with doves, symbolizing peace. The paper doves will be created using the origami technique.
In our world full of wars and disasters, the need for peace has never been more crucial. Our doves symbolize unity, kindness and hope.

The members of the Cafesjian Teen Council will actively participate in the program. They will turn into elves and help the participating children make paper doves and decorate them. During the creative process, children will be introduced to origami – the ancient form of decorative-applied art. The symbolism of doves and the message of peace will be also discussed during the program.

At the end of the program, the doves made by children will decorate the Christmas tree of the Visitor Center.

Children ages 6-12 can participate in the program.

Participation is free with prior registration.
