Yerevan Collectors’ Choice 3 Exhibition Opens at CCASeptember 23, 2016 The exhibition, Yerevan Collectors’ Choice 3: Boris Galstyan’s Collection: Minas, Vruyr, Deghdz Ashot opened at the Eagle Gallery of the Cafesjian Center for the Arts on September 22, 2016. It features a selection from Boris Galstyan's collection; art works by Minas Avetisyan (1928-1975), Vruyr Galstyan (1924-1996) and Ashot Hovhannisyan (Deghdz Ashot, 1929-1997) will be exhibited. The exhibition, Yerevan Collectors’ Choice 3: Boris Galstyan’s Collection: Minas, Vruyr, Deghdz Ashot, continues the mission of the Cafesjian Center for the Arts in presenting the best of Armenian culture to the world. The chronology of Boris Galstyan's art collection is quite broad, yet he has concentrated on Armenian fine art of the 1960s and the 1970s, collecting works by Soviet Armenian National Modernism artists. Such names as Minas, Vruyr and Deghdz Ashot clearly indicate the chronological and artistic parameters of the third exhibition in the Yerevan Collectors’ Choice series. The exhibition provides an opportunity to discover the multilayered aesthetic vision of each of three artists, taking into consideration the fact that most of the pieces are exhibited for the first time. “The Yerevan Collectors’ Choice exhibition project was launched at the Cafesjian Center for the Arts in 2012, focused on recognizing Yerevan collectors and their art collections. I am confident the exhibition, Yerevan Collectors’ Choice 3: Boris Galstyan’s Collection: Minas, Vruyr, Deghdz Ashot, will provide a wonderful opportunity for Armenian and foreign art lovers to newly discover these prominent figures in Armenian art and to acknowledge the dedication and generosity of Yerevan’s collectors”, - said Vahagn Marabyan, the Acting Executive Director of CCA. The exhibition dates are September 22 to December 25, 2016. Public admission will start from September 23, free of charge. ![]() You can also visit our YouTube Channel
