Art–Nature–Art
Art-Nature-Art educational program is based on the selected artworks from the Cafesjian Art Trust.
The main goal of the program is to make the study of Nature more visual and accessible for middle school students by reinforcing classroom learning through the exploration of artworks in the museum.
The program also promotes an understanding of the museum as an active learning environment by bringing together scientific knowledge, engagement with art and creative practice.
During the guided tour, participants explore artworks featuring flowers at the Cafesjian Center for the Arts. Through observation and discussion, they identify botanical forms represented in the artworks, compare the visual characteristics of real plants with their artistic interpretations and discuss how different artists have perceived and represented nature.
In the Creative Hall, students present the flowering plants assigned to them using a slide presentation. In the creative part of the program, participants make still-life compositions using the flowers they have studied. This activity reinforces their learning, encourages creative thinking and personal expression.
The educational program is designed for students in Grade 5 and above.
