ENCOUNTERS WITH ART: Armenia at Venice Biennale

On July 7 the Cafesjian Center for the Arts, in the frames of the Encounters with Art program, presented Armenian Pavilion in 54th Venice Biennale. The evening was opened with introductory by CCA Educational Coordinator Mrs. Mane Mkrtchyan. Then the curators of Armenian Pavilion, Mr. Nazareth Karoyan and Mr. Ruben Arevshatyan introduced the Armenian artists Mher Azatyan, Grigor Khachatryan and Astghik Melkonyan.

The curators began presentation with the history of the Biennale featuring Armenian Pavilion of 2011. The audience got detailed information on the Biennale and had an opportunity to see photos and video of the exhibitions. After the presentation the curators, the commissioner and the artists answered the questions of the audience․
