The Cafesjian Center for the Arts (CCA) is dedicated to bringing the best of contemporary art to Armenia and presenting the best of Armenian culture to the world. Inspired by the vision of its founder, Gerard L. Cafesjian, the Center offers a diverse range of exhibitions, including a selection of significant works from the Cafesjian Art Trust. Since its opening in November 2009, CCA has remained true to its mission, organizing dozens of exhibitions, including special series such as Yerevan Collectors’ Choice, Inter-Museum Cooperation, Exhibitions of Women Artists, projects highlighting emerging artists, international collaborations, festival initiatives, and more.

Since its early years of formation, the Cafesjian Center for the Arts has highly valued the educational function of museums. Education has always been one of the cornerstones of CCA’s mission, rendering the Center an important hub for museum education. Within the scope of CCA’s mission, educational programs have been developed and implemented in different formats. Almost all local schools, as well as many regional schools of Armenia have taken part in those programs.
The exhibitions and projects undertaken by the Cafesjian Teen Council since 2017, have made the Center a beloved place for all teenagers.
During the period of its 16-year operation, CCA has implemented about 73 educational programs and initiatives with 2000 sessions for different age groups, schools and families, as well as the art-loving public. More than 55,000 people have participated in CCA’s educational programs.

At the Cafesjian Center for the Arts, we are proud to display works by some of the most celebrated modern and contemporary artists, both in the Cafesjian Sculpture Garden and throughout the Cascade Complex. Highlights from our collection include iconic pieces by Fernando Botero, Jack Youngerman, Yue Minjun, Do Ho Suh, David Breuer-Weil, Gaetano Pesce, and Roberto Matta. These permanent displays fulfill the mission of the Center to bringing the best of contemporary art to Armenia.
