The Cafesjian Center for the Arts, in partnership with the RoA Ministry of Culture, co-organized a three-day Book Festival held at the Center within the framework of Yerevan - World Book Capital 2012 and the 500th Anniversary of Armenian Printing.

In the frames of the Book Festival, an exhibition dedicated to the Armenian epic poem Daredevils of Sasoun opened in Eagle Gallery. The exhibition “Sasuntsi David Epic in Armenian Visual Arts” featured the reflection of the poem in fine arts and literature. The visitors of the Book Festival had an opportunity to see graphic works by renowned Armenian artists Ervand Kochar and Hakob Kojoyan, as well as paintings and batik works created by children. Books and publications about Sasuntsi Davit in Armenian and foreign languages were also presented and visitors had an opportunity to read the epic in the exhibition gallery. A large-scale poster of the Sasuntsi Davit sculpture by Ervand Kochar and a thematic carpet were also part of the exhibition.
